Real estate is a thriving business, and it explored effectively can become Fiji’s next backbone, says Real Estate Professionals co-director, Baron Bruno.
His company outlets are at Port Denarau in Nadi, Suva and Savusavu. He wants to open an office in Labasa.
“My preference is to have an office space in the township and connect with the local people. I have spoken to Damodar Group chief executive officer, Div Damodar, for an office space in Labasa,” he said. “We want to create new jobs for people either as an administration staff or real estate agents.”
He said investor confidence was paramount for any foreign investor.
“The support of law enforcement agencies to ensure safety is vital. Investor confidence is enhanced if the property bought is located in a safe location.”
“Despite investors coming from overseas, I believe they must embrace the authentic Fijian culture.”
Mr Bruno said they developed a website, which promoted Fijian real estate to 65 countries.
“Areas such as Labasa and Savusavu have potential to grow in the real estate business.”
“I believe landowners can meet investors such as us and understand the economic benefits of such collaboration,” he said.
