ENGLISH - CHINESE TRANSLATOR 英汉翻译

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for translating client materials, primarily from English to Chinese, occasionally from Chinese to English.

  • According to the specifications, delete or add specific content to the translated articles and/or web content and/or social media content.

  • Understand the specified requirements and make sure that the finalized materials of translation fulfill those requirements.

  • Communicate with Directors for the translation projects, especially in the Western Division and Greater Nadi areas

  • Join Salespeople to onsite property viewings and inspections when translation services needed

  • Help negotiate contract price and terms with Chinese clients (for Tenancy Agreements, Sales and Rental listings, etc.)

  • Offer recommendations on how, when, where our company can promote our agency and services to Chinese clients (locally and overseas)

  • Make introductions to potential Chinese clients (locally and overseas) who might be interested in Fiji real estate investments

  • Add Chinese clients to company database with full contact name, phone number, email, and details

  • Continually follow up with current Chinese clients to ask for referrals and secure more business and personal connections and opportunities


Requirements:



  • Degree holder in any field.

  • Knowledge of Fiji and/or the South Pacific will be helpful

  • Knowledge of real estate industry is also very helpful

  • At least a year of working experience as a Translator is preferred.

  • Excellent or near-native level Chinese (speaking and writing abilities), as well as the ability to read and understand English.

  • Organized and able to work independently.

  • Responsible, trustworthy and reliable.

  • Pay close attention to details.

  • Exhibit strong teamwork abilities.

  • Have your own laptop computer, mobile phone, and vehicle (optional--for getting to/from meetings at the Denarau office)
